Dear Art Lovers,
Greetings!
We are delighted to invite to our Valentine’s Day Event on Friday at Mount Gallery. On the day of lovers, let us begin the afternoon admiring the exquisite work of Olivier Mourão while sharing some glasses of wine.
As the Royal Academy of Arts showcases the exhibition ‘Picasso and Paper,’ we chose to represent an artist who works with handcrafted paper to create unique collages and paintings.
Now 74-years-old, Mourão started experimenting with paper since 9-years-old in Brazil. He later travelled the world, sharing his ideas with artists as Picasso and Dalí. He has been active in the London ’68 artistic scene, becoming friend with the Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. Mourão’s artworks have been celebrated in many exhibitions (currently in four locations in China).
