One of the most established philosophical artists and possibly the last “genuine” painter of the 20th century, Antoni Tapies, whose artworks are part of the collections at the Tate Modern, Guggenheim and MoMA museums, is currently exhibited at Mount Street until the 16th February 2013.
Mount Street Gallery is hosting a talk dedicated to Antoni Tapies. The overview on his ideas and practice will reflect the tendencies of how his artistic expression and spiritualism have developed throughout his work from 1945 to 2012. The talk is delivered by art critic and
curator Patricia Ellis; she is a specialist in contemporary art and cultural theory working with
international museums and publications.
